How Do I Update My Cineplex Store App to CosmoGO?

If your app hasn’t updated automatically or you don’t have auto-updates turned on, here’s how to update to the CosmoGO app:

For Smart TV devices:

Roku

To install an app update on a Roku Device, please follow these steps below:

1. Turn on your Roku device

2. Click the HOME tab on the left hand side

3.Navigate to the Cineplex Store app

4. Press the Star (*) button: on your remote
This will open the options menu for that app.

5. Select "Check for updates": from the menu.
If an update is available, the app will begin to download and install it.

Samsung

To install an app update on a Samsung Smart TV, please follow these steps below:

1. Turn on your Samsung Smart TV device
2. Press the HOME button,
3. Go to the APPS section,
4. Select the SETTINGS icon in the top-right corner.
5. Scroll to and select the Cineplex Store app,
6. Choose the VIEW DETAILS option
7. Click UPDATE

Alternatively, enable the Auto update feature in the same SETTINGS menu to have apps update automatically.

LG Smart TV

To install an app update on a LG Smart TV Device, please follow these steps below:

1. Turn on your LG Smart TV device
2. Press the Home button on your LG remote to go to the home screen.
3. Navigate to the LG Content Store (sometimes labeled as Apps) using your remote's arrow buttons and select it.
4. Once in the Content Store, go to the top right corner of the screen and select the three dots icon.
5. Select App Update from the menu that appears.
6.  Select the Cineplex Store App from the Downloaded app update section and install
7. Or Find the Update All button and select it to install all available updates at once.

Alternatively, you can turn on the Allow Automatic Updates feature to have your apps update automatically.

Apple TV

To install an app update on a Apple TV Device, please follow these steps below:
1. Turn on your Apple TV device
2. Open the APP STORE from your Apple TV's Home screen, select the App Store app
3. Select the search icon (a magnifying glass) to find the Cineplex Store to update
4. Input CINEPLEX STORE and select it when it appears in the search results
5. Select the UPDATE button to begin the update process.

Alternatively, you can enable your apps to auto update with these steps:

1. Turn on your Apple TV device
2. From the Home screen of your Apple TV, find and select the SETTINGS APP
3..Scroll down and select the APPS option from the menu.
4. Select Automatically Update Apps and make sure it is turned on.

Android TV

To install an app update on a Android TV Device, please follow these steps below:

1. Turn on your Android TV device
2. On your Android TV's Home screen, navigate to and open the Google PLAY STORE
3. Select your profile icon (an image or letter) located in the top-right or top-left corner of the screen
4. Choose the MANAGE APPS AND GAMES option from the menu
5. Select the UPDATES section

You will see a list of apps with available updates. You can select individual apps or choose UPDATE ALL to update them simultaneously.

FireTV

Fire TV Users: Since Cineplex Store wasn’t previously available on Fire TV, you’ll need to download CosmoGO directly from the Amazon Appstore.

Steps to download the CosmoGO app on FireTV:
1. Turn on your Amazon FireTV device
2. Go to the homescreen
2. Select FIND, then select APPSTORE
3. Search for COSMOGO
4. Choose GET OR DOWNLOAD to install it on your device

Mobile devices

Apple

To install an app update on a Apple mobile device, please follow these steps below:

1. Turn on your Apple Mobile device
2. Locate the APP STORE app on your device
3. Tap your profile icon (your picture or initials) in the top-right corner of the screen.
4. Scroll down the page to see a list of available updates under UPCOMING AUTOMATIC UPDATES or similar.
5. To update a single app, tap the UPDATE button next to the CINEPLEX STORE app.
6. Or, to update all available apps at once, tap the UPDATE ALL button.

To enable automatic updates

1. Turn on your Apple Mobile device
2. Open the SETTINGS app on your Apple mobile device.
3. Scroll down and tap on APP STORE
4. Under the AUTOMATIC DOWNLOAD section, turn on the toggle next to APP UPDATES

Android

To install an app update on a Android mobile device, please follow these steps below:

1. Turn on your Android Mobile device
2. Locate the GOOGLE PLAY STORE app on your Android phone and to open it.
3. In the top right corner of the PLAY STORE, tap PROFILE ICON the which may be your first initial.
4. From the menu that appears, tap on MANAGE APPS & DEVICE
5. You will see a section labeled UPDATES AVAILABLE. Tap SEE DETAILS  to view the list of apps with pending updates.
6. Tap the UPDATE button next to the CINEPLEX STORE app to update.
7. Or, to update all apps at once, tap the UPDATE ALL button at the top of the list.

The updates will then begin to download and install in the background.

Alternatively, you can follow these steps to enable your aps to auto-update:

1. Turn on your Android Mobile device
2. Open the GOOGLE PLAY app
3. Tap SETTINGS
4. Tap NETWORK PREFERENCES
5. Tap AUTO-Update Apps
6. Select an option:
- Update all apps over Wi-Fi or mobile data
- Update with limited amount of mobile data
- Update over Wi-Fi only
- Don’t auto-update apps

When updates are available, the app updates automatically. To turn off automatic updates, turn off Enable auto update.
